DUSHANBE, February 18, 2009, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon is expected to pay a short-term working visit to Moscow on February 24, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
During his stay in Moscow, Emomali Rahmon will hold talks with his Russian counterpart, President Dmitry Medvedev, to discuss issues related to trade, scientific-technical and military-technical cooperation between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
The source noted that the purpose of the visit was for the Tajik leader to discuss acceleration of implementation of agreements that were reached during Russian president’s official visit to Tajikistan in August 2008.
