DUSHANBE, February 20, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe mayor’s office intends to hold a special session of the Coordinating Center for Socioeconomic Issues on March 14.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the meeting would discuss ways to mitigate effects of the global financial crisis.
Representatives of economic entities irrespective of forms of property and media will be invited to attend the meeting. “Dushanbe authorities intend to discuss problems facing local entrepreneurs, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, with representatives of this sector in an atmosphere of openness and publicity,” the spokesman said, noting that Dushanbe entrepreneurs and businesspeople could provide assistance with holding of the meeting.
