DUSHANBE, April 15, 2008, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon is making traditional annual address to the parliament today.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Shavkat Saidov, an aide to speaker of the upper house (Majlisi Milli), said a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament would also be attended by heads of ministries and organizations, chairman of provinces, cities and districts, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations active in the country, as well as representatives of Tajik intelligentsia.
According to experts, in this year’s address to the parliament, the president is expected to touch upon issues related to ways and measures to mitigate effects of the global financial crisis in the country,
