DUSHANBE, May 18, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The 19th session of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) that was held in Dushanbe on May 18 recalled the chairman of the Constitutional Court.
Members of the Majlisi Milli voted for relieving Izbullo Khojayev of his post of the chairman of the Constitutional Court. Mahkam Mahmoudov, formerly deputy head of president’s office, was elected to replace him as chairman of the Constitutional Court.
The session also recalled one judge of the Constitutional Court. Ibroimsho Muqbilshoyev was relieved of his post of judge of the Constitutional court at his own request. Ms. Muhabbat Gulzorova, formerly deputy chairperson of the public service directorate under the Tajik president, was elected to replace as judge of the Constitutional Court.
