DUSHANBE, May 25, 2009, Asia-Plus - On Monday May 25, President Emomali Rahmon had telephone conversations with a number of heads districts in the southern Khatlon province and the city of Vahdat, according to presidential press service.
Heads of Panj, Bokhtar, Vakhsh, Danghara, Farkhor, Hamadoni, Vose and mayor of the city of Vahdat reported on the results of work carried out over the first four months.
Implementation of president’s orders, minimization of power losses as well as nationwide shift to energy-saving light bulbs, also known as compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), and the provision of assistance to disaster-hit families were among major topics of the talks.
Completion of the spring sowing campaign and laying-in of fodders also figured president’s talks with the regional administrators.
In the course of the conversations, the president pointed to the necessity of providing domestic market with local agricultural output and stocking fodders for cattle for the next two years market.
