DUSHANBE, October 5, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- President Emomali Rahmon has called on developed Muslim countries to help other countries of the Islamic world develop their energy, communications, transport and agrarian sectors, according to presidential press service.

Inaugurating an international conference dedicated to the 1310th birth anniversary of Imam Azam in Dushanbe, Tajik leader noted today that many experts predict confrontation between the world civilizations and call on representatives of different religions for dialogue “and thereby to prevent this dangerous confrontation.”

In his speech, Rahmon dwelled on religious, universal and humanistic aspects of heritage of Abu Hanifa and its importance in the inter-civilization dialogue.  He, in particular, noted that the heritage of Abu Hanifa could be used as a scientific heritage for preventing undesirable sects and calls in Islam as well as for establishment of inter-civilization dialogue and widening universal knowledge in the field of religion.

Addressing the conference, the Tajik head of state called on developed Muslim countries to provide assistance to other countries of the Islamic world needing support for development of their economies with enhancement of their energy, communications, transport and agrarian sectors.
