DUSHANBE, October 19, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On Saturday October 17, President Emomali Rahmon signed a number of laws adopted by the parliament over the past several months, according to presidential press service.
The president, in particular, signed the laws on preservation of soil, and amendments to the laws on the national budget for 2009, protection of the atmosphere, energy and state symbols of the country.
The main purpose of the amendments proposed to the law on energy is in supporting local and foreign investments in development and use of electric power resources, the press service said.
