DUSHANBE, November 23, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On Monday November 23, President Emomali Rahmon congratulated the peoples of Tajikistan on a National Flag Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on November 24.
According to presidential press service, in his televised statement, President Rahmon congratulated the peoples of the country and fellow-countrymen living abroad on the new public holiday and pointed out the value of state’s symbols of independent Tajikistan for its residents.
The head of state noted that Tajik national flag’s colors represent the centuries-old fight of the Tajik people for independence, self-knowledge and prosperity, the press service said.
