DUSHANBE, December 23, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The next 23rd session of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) of the third convocation will take place in Dushanbe on January 7, 2010.
Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, told Asia-Plus that the session would consider laws adopted by the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) this year. Among them are laws on Tajikistan’s Red Crescent Society (RCS) and scientific and scientific-technical expertise as well as laws requiring amendments to the laws on veterans, state duty, migration and compulsory payments to the budget as well as the administrative code.
The session will also consider a number of other laws related to socioeconomic and cultural life of the country, Saidov said.
