DUSHANBE, January 30, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Following a January 29 government meeting reviewing the result of the past year’ work, President Rahmon has introduced a number of staff changes.
According to presidential press service, Zafar Azizov, formerly first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court, was appointed chairman of the Council of Justice (Shuroi Adliya), replacing Shermahmad Shohiyon.
Shermahmad Shohiyon was relived of his position of chairman of the Council of Justice in connection with being nominated for a seat in the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), presidential press service said.
Deputy Justice Minister Azizmad Imomov, Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs Chairperson Khairinisso Yusufi, Children’s TV Channel “Bahoriston” Director Nizom Qosim, and Deputy Energy ad Industries Minister Mahmadsharif Haqdodov were removed from their posts for the same reason.
Besides, Abdusami Dodoboyev was removed from his position as First Deputy Prosecutor-General and Yusufali Murodov was removed from his position as Deputy Commander of Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
