DUSHANBE, March 4, 2010, Asia-Plus  -- The last 24th session of the outgoing Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) of the third convocation that took place in Dushanbe today gave consent to a number of staff changes to the Prosecutor-General’s Office and elected new deputy heads of the Supreme Court of Tajikistan.

Ms. Basbi Kholovoa, formerly judge of the Supreme Court, was elected deputy chairperson of the Supreme Court.

Abdijabbor Sattorov, who had previously served as chairman of the Military Court of the Dushanbe Garrison, was elected deputy chairman of the Supreme Court also chairman of the Supreme Court Military Board.

Upon the recommendations of the president, the Majlisi Milli gave consent to relieving Abdulhamid Nouraliyev and Mirzosharif Sharifov of their posts of deputy chief prosecutors and relieving Yusuf Rahmonov of his post of the Main Military Prosecutor of Tajikistan.

The Majlisi Milli members also gave consent to the appointment of deputy chief prosecutors.  Abduqodir Muhammadiyev, formerly head of department within the Prosecutor-General’s Office, was appointed Deputy Prosecutor-General, Rashid Gulmadshoyev, formerly GBAO Prosecutor, was appointed Deputy Prosecutor-General, and Khairullo Saidov, formerly Sughd Prosecutor, was appointed Deputy Prosecutor-General also the Main Military Prosecutor of Tajikistan.
