DUSHANBE. June 10. “Asia-Plus” -- Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon has departed to Tashkent to take part in the summit of heads of SCO member states.
According to the President’s press service, Tajik President is accompanied by his Adviser for International Affairs Erkin Rahmatulloev, Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, Tajik Interior Minister Abdurahim Kaharov, Tajik Minister of Agriculture Kasym Kasymov, Tajik Minister of Energy and Industry Gul Sherali and other officials.
According to reliable source in the Tajik government, Tajik leaders will meet with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao and Uzbek President Islam Karimov.
Many Tajik experts believe that the talks between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will help settle many problems which accumulated between Dushanbe and Tashkent in recent years.
