DUSHANBE, July 15, 2010, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon yesterday signed a number of decrees introducing staff changes into the government, according to presidential press service.
Usmon Avazov was appointed the first deputy head of the Main Directorate for Protection of Secrets, Jumakhon Ghiyosov was appointed the first deputy head of the Committee for Religious Affairs, and Ravshan Karimov was appointed the deputy head of the Agency for Public Purchases, Works and Services.
Besides, Manzour Karimov was appointed Adviser to the President for Economic Matters.
By presidents decree Zafar Safarov, formerly director of the Hamadoni Water Supply Project Management Unit, was appointed acting chairman of Dushanbe’s Sino district, replacing Rahmatullo Tavarov. Tavarov was appointed deputy mayor of Dushanbe.
President Rahmon yesterday also gave consent to the appointment of Abdulhaq Oyev deputy mayor of Dushanbe.
