DUSHANBE, August 25, 2010, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon has attended an official ceremony of opening of a spinning mill in Vakhsh district, Khatlon province today.
Speaking at the inaugurating ceremony, Rahmon noted that opening of a new industrial enterprise was evidence of the fact that economic reforms and creation of new jobs were progressing in the country, according to presidential press service.
The spinning mill with the capacity of processing up to 30,000 tons of cotton and producing some 11,000 tons of yarn per year has reportedly created 50 new jobs for local residents.
