DUSHANBE, September 20, Asia-Plus  -- Members of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) are continuing to hold meetings with their voters.

Last week, MPs representing the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in parliament’s lower house held meetings in Panjakent district, Sughd province and the Kulob zone of Khatlon province.

According to the PDP representative Jumaboy Sanginov, residents of Panjakent were mostly raising issues related to construction of river bank protection works and allotment of lands for housing at meetings with parliamentarians.

“Last week, the PDP representatives also met with voters in the Kulob region.  They held meeting with medical workers and representatives from local authorities,” said Sanginov.  “Local medical workers brought the computer tomography room issue to parliamentarians’ attention. I think the Ministry of Health must find a way to purchase this equipment for the Kulob city hospital.”
