DUSHANBE, October 11, 2010, Asia-Plus --The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill on the national budget for 2011 at an October 11 meeting presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker, Shukurjon Zuhurov.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also discussed bills on food security and drinking water supply as well as amendments to the laws on the Academy of Sciences and mineral resources.
The board also considered issues related to holding open parliamentary hearings on the findings of administration of the 2010 national budget over the first nine months of the year.
Some of these issues will be considered at the next sitting of second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation, the spokesman said.
