DUSHANBE, November 9, Asia-Plus --The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill on the national budget for 2011 at a November 9 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker, Shukurjon Zuhurov.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered draft laws on safety of hydropower facilities, veterinary, and insurance activity and amendments to the laws on courts, state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs as well as the tax code.
The board also discussed the draft external borrowing program designed for 2011-2013 and the financing agreement between Tajikistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on the Rural Livelihood Development Project.
Some of these issues will be considered at the next sitting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon that will take place on November 11, Sultonov said.
