DUSHANBE, February 7, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered the bill on ecological monitoring at a February 7 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon Speaker, Shukurjon Zuhurov.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered a draft agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and the Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank) on a preferential loan for rehabilitation of the Dushanbe-Danghara highway and construction of the Khujand-Ayni power transmission line.
The board also discussed amendments to the country’s Penal Code.
All these issues will be considered at a regular sitting of the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation that will take place in early February, Sultonov said.
