The meeting members included senor representatives from the municipal government as well as heads of Dushanbe’s bazaars and law enforcement agencies.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, said current prices of basic food products at Dushanbe’s bazaars were among major topics of the meeting.
The mayor charged heads of relevant municipal services and local bazaars to take adequate measures to prevent artificial rise in prices of essential goods. Ubaidulloyev also called for introduction of efficient measures against monopolists that have artificially raised prices of some of products.
Ubaidulloyev also ordered managers of the state unitary enterprise, Trade and Markets of Dushanbe, as well as heads of Dushanbe’s bazaars to organize regular food fairs at their bazaars and conduct daily monitoring of prices of basic food products, the spokesman said.
