DUSHANBE, July 26, 2011, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon today morning departed for the southern Khatlon province.
According to the presidential press service, the main purpose of the visit is for the president to get acquainted with the socioeconomic situation in Khuroson and Jomi districts.
During his one-day visit, Rahmon will participate in an official opening of a number of social facilities built in the districts on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.
President Emomali Rahmon will also address meetings of administrators of these districts that will focus on issue related to ensuring food security of the country, the source said.
