DUSHANBE, August 2, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Some 1,000 journalists from the CIS nations, Afghanistan, Pakistan and international news agencies are expected to cover the CIS foreign ministers’ meeting, the meeting of the CIS council of heads of state and a quadripartite meeting of presidents of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Russia as well as Russian president’s visit to Tajikistan that will take place in Dushanbe in early September this year.
Davlat Nazriyev, head of the MFA information department, noted that a large group of Iranian journalists would arrive in Dushanbe to cover a visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that is also scheduled for early September this year.
“The Foreign Ministry announced accreditation of journalists for coverage of the mentioned high-level events yesterday,” the MFA spokesman added.
