DUSHANBE, January 23, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered the bill on the energy efficiency at a January 23 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker Shukurjon Zuhuruov.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said the board also considered the bill requiring amendments to the law on the licensing system.
The board also considered the issue of receiving citizens.
Last year, senior representatives from the Majlisi Namoyandagon reportedly received more than 1,000 people. Besides, some 1,200 applications complaints from citizens were discussed by the Majlisi Namoyandagon committees and commissions.
Speaking at the meeting, the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker pointed to the necessity of paying a special attention to the issue of consideration of applications from citizens during parliamentarians’ meetings with voters, Sultonov said.
