DUSHANBE, March 19, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered the bill requiring amendments to the country’s civil code at a March 19 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board also considered a draft law on the mandatory pension insurance and the personified registration system and the bill requiring amendments to the country’s law on citizens’ applications.
According to him, the board also discussed the issue of ratification of a memorandum of understanding between the Government of Tajikistan and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on conditions of presence of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan.
All these issues have been tabled to the agenda of the next sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation that will take place I Dushanbe in late March, Sultonov said.
