As reported by the President’s press service, President is accompanied by Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, President’s Advisor for Foreign Policy Erkin Rahmatulloev, Tajik Finance Minister Safarali Najmiddinov, Tajik Energy and Industry Minister Gul Sherali, chairman of the Tajik State Property Management Committee Davlatali Sayeedov, head of the Geology Department of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim, chairwoman of Amonatbank state saving bank Gulnora Hasanova.
Tajik President Rahmon’s official visit to China will last for 5 days, our source in the Government reported. In the course of his visit Tajik leader is scheduled to visit several regions of China and meet with heads of a series of companies, finance structures, industrial enterprises. Rahmon’s official talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao are scheduled for June 5. The sides are expected to sign a series of intergovernmental agreements.
The talks will focus on cooperation in energy, finance, trade and communication sectors.
Following his official visit to China Tajikistan President is scheduled to take part in the 12th session of the Council of heads of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which will be presided over by Mr. Jintao. The session is scheduled for June 6-7 in Beijing.
The session will bring together heads of SCO member states, observer states and officials from interested international organizations.
The sides will share their views on further strengthening of friendly cooperation between SCO member states in new conditions and current global and regional situation and are expected to design a complex plan for SCO development.
