DUSHANBE, June 29, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The last sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the fourth convocation took place on June 29 and then the Majlisi Namoyandagon deputies went on a summer recess.
A June 29 meeting reviewed the results of the past year''s work and considered a number of draft laws.
Speaking at the meeting, the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov noted that 27 sittings that were held from October 2011 through June 2012 adopted 140 laws.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon board (Shuro) held 39 meetings and considered 571 issues over the report period.
The fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation will begin its work in October 2012.
