DUSHANBE, July 11, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon yesterday visited the city of Roghun and the site for construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP), the president’s official website reports.
During the visit to the city of Roghun, the head of state addressed a meeting of municipal administrators, the source said.
During the visit to the site for construction of the Roghun HPP, President Rahmon met with engineers and workers to get acquainted with living conditions and conditions of work.
The president reportedly expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and noted that the station was being built for centuries and it would serve not only Tajikistan but the region as a whole.
