DUSHANBE, July 2, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday July 2, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received Fatah Geidarov, Minister for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Azerbaijan.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the sides discussed issues related to establishment of cooperation and exchange of experiences of the two nations in mitigating effects of anthropogenic disasters as well as training of personnel for Tajikistan’s Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES).
Rahmon and Geidarov reportedly also exchanged views on state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan and pointed to the necessity of intensification of activities of the intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation, the Tajik president’s website said.
