DUSHANBE, July 20, 2013, Asia-Plus – On Saturday July 20, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon visited the Hisor and Shahrinav districts, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
In Shahrinav, the head of state attended a ceremony of an official opening of an oil refinery.
A total cost of the construction of the oil refinery with the rated capacity of processing 100,000 tons of oil per year is 70 million somoni.
The plant, which is provided with modern Russian-made oil-refining equipment, will produce winter and summer diesel fuel, 80-octane gasoline and high-quality fuel oil. It has created more than 110 new jobs.
In the future, the oil refinery’s annual capacity is expected to be increased to 300,000 tons.
While in Shahrinav, President Rahmon also participated in an official opening of a new gem hall. A total cost of the project is 2.7 million somoni.
