DUSHANBE, October 1, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday October 1, the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) endorsed the bill requiring amendments to the RT Law “On the National Budget for 2013.”
Presenting the bill, Deputy Minister of Finance, Ruhullo Hakimov, noted that the bill provided for exempting equipment delivered to the country for Tajik Railways, Tajik Air Navigation, Qairoqqum carpet weaving plant, Hisor metallurgical plant and the Dushanbe-based private flour mill “Don Garam” from VAT and customs duties.
Because of these changes made to the 2013 budget law the revenue part of the budget will receive some 185 million somoni less this year.
