DUSHANBE, October 3, 2013, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon today morning left for the Vahdat Township, some 17 kilometers east of Dushanbe.

According to the president’s official website, the purpose of the visit is for the president to get acquainted with socioeconomic life of the area and inaugurate a number of social and cultural facilities.

While in Vahdat, the president will participate in ceremonies of opening of a new five-storey residential building and the Palace of Knowledge and groundbreaking ceremonies to kick off construction of a number of new facilities.

He will also visit the lyceum fro talented children named after Balami in Vahdat, the website said.
