DUSHANBE, November 15, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Downtown Dushanbe will be closed for traffic on an inauguration day.
The Interior Ministry’s website reports that the presidential inauguration will take place in Dushanbe tomorrow, November 16, and therefore, streets in downtown Dushanbe will be closed for traffic from 6:00 am till the conclusion of the Presidential Inauguration swearing-in ceremony.
We will recall that President Emomali Rahmon is expected to take the oath of office at the sixth joint meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) and the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) that will start tomorrow at 9:00 am.
At 11:00 am, President Rahmon will be inaugurated to his next seven-year term in a ceremony that will take place at the Kokhi Somon Complex in Dushanbe.
