DUSHANBE, December 13, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The 12th session of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Climate (Consultative Council), presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, took place in Dushanbe on December 13.
According to the Consultative Council Secretariat, the session, in particular, discussed ways to improve Tajikistan’s position in the World Bank’s Doing Business Rankings .
Head of the Association of Microfinance Organizations of Tajikistan, Farhod Akbarov, presented the plan of actions to improve the country’s position in Doing Business Rankings .
The session also discussed issues related to improving investment climate in tourism and relevant industries.
Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property (GosKomInvest), Qodir Qosim, reported on the findings of monitoring of the process of implementation of decisions of the 10th and 11th sessions of the Consultative Council.
“For the purpose of an efficient implementation of the country’s law on the public-private partnership (PPP), the Council on the Public-Private Partnership and the Unit for Implementation of PPP Projects have been established,” Qodir Qosim noted.
