DUSHANBE, April 8, 2014, Asia-Plus – This year, President Emomali Rahmon is expected to address a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament on April 23.

According to the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper house of parliament) press center, the Majlisi Milli Speaker Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev today signed a resolution on convoking a joint meeting of the Majlisi Milli and the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) on April 23.

In his annual address to the parliament, the president usually outlines the basic principles of domestic and foreign policy of the country.

Besides, a number of president’s edicts will be confirmed during the upcoming joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament.
