DUSHANBE, April 15, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is currently on a working visit to the Vahdat Township, some 17 kilometers to the east of Dushanbe.
According to the president’s official website, Rahmon has got acquainted with the pace of construction of a large greenhouse complex in Vahdat.
An area of six hectares has been allocated for construction of this greenhouse complex. The cost of this project, which is being implemented by Tajik company, Golden Group, is 30 million somoni. The complex will create 60 new jobs for local residents.
President Rahmon is also expected to give start to construction of a cement plant with capacity of 500,000 tons in Vahdat today.
The Ministry of Industry and New technologies of Tajikistan (MoINT) says that an estimated budget for construction of this plant is 81.5 million U.S. dollars.
China’s Beijing Uni-Construction Group Co. Ltd will construct the cement plant in Vahdat and deliver it Tajik company, Vahdat Cement, on a turnkey basis, an official source at a MoINT said.
Headquartered in Beijing, Beijing Uni-Construction Group Co. Ltd is a state-owned construction company. We will recall that Beijing Uni-Construction Group Co. Ltd has participated in modernization of the Dushanbe cement plant.
