DUSHANBE, April 28, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Member of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of the parliament, Ms. Saodat Amirshoyeva, today held a meeting with representatives of intelligentsia in Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says that president’s recent address to a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament was a major topic of the meeting.
During the meeting, representatives of intelligentsia reportedly complained to Ms. Amirshoyeva about high prices for medicines in the area.
“They also noted that lack of skilled medical personnel and unemployment among young people are among the main problems facing Khatlon,” Sultonov said.
According to him, MP Amirshoyeva has promised to make interpellation to the Ministry of Health and Social Security.
