DUSHANBE, May 15, 2014, Asia-Plus – By president’s decrees Tajik ambassadors to the United States, Russia, Germany and Egypt were replaced.
Imomuddin Sattorov, who had previously served as Tajikistan’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, replacing Abdulmajid Dostiyev.
Abdulmajid Dostiyev’s son Farhod Salim, who had previously worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to the United States, replacing Nouriddin Shamsov.
According to unconfirmed information, Chairman of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan, Maliksho Nematov was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
An official at the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs did not confirm this information. He just said that Nematov is currently on a business trip to Berlin.
Khusrav Noziri, formerly head of the Foreign Ministry Department for Asia and Africa, was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Egypt.
