DUSHANBE, November 3, 2014, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament has reportedly set up a working group to draft an oil and gas law.

This issue was discussed at a November 3 meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon board, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board also discussed amendments proposed to the country’s laws on elections to local legislatures (Majlis), Interior Ministry’s internal troops, border guards, state defense order, status of military personnel, pension benefits for military personnel, countering terrorism, national security bodies, combating extremism, civil defense, state secrets, the national budget for 2015, advertisement, and government support for entrepreneurship.

The Majlisi Namoyandagon board also decided to submit a draft law on the secondary vocational education for consideration to the profile Majlisi Namoyandagon committees and commissions, Sultonov said.
