DUSHANBE, November 15, 2014, Asia-Plus – The Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower house of parliament) committees and commissions have discussed a draft law “On the National Budget for 2015” and the national budget indicators for 2016-2017.
The 2015 national budget indicators reportedly reflect the economic and social development of the country.
The revenue part of the national budget for 2015 is projected to stand at 15.278 billion somoni, which is 1.377 billion somoni or 10 percent more than more than the indicators of the national budget for 2014.
Social spending will account for more than 50 of budget allocations, which is reportedly 17 percent more than this year.
The budget projects to spend 400 million somoni to raise rates of wages, pensions and student grants, the website reports.
In 2015, Tajikistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to stand at more than 52.8 billion somoni and inflation is expected to stand at 7.5 percent.
The draft national budget for 2015 has been tabled to the agenda of the next sitting of the sixth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation that will take place on November 19.
