DUSHANBE, January 5, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Monday January 5, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon issued a decree to approve the judicial and legal reform program for Tajikistan for 2015-2017.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the program is the continuation of the previous legal and judicial reform programs for Tajikistan and it takes into consideration practice of the developed countries of the world.
The program reportedly provides for reforming structure and work of the Supreme Court, Higher Economic Court as well as regional, district and city courts of the country.
The program aims to promote protection of rights and freedoms of citizens and national interests as well as prevention of crime and securing of public security, the source said.
