DUSHANBE, January 7, 2015, Asia-Plus - This year, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will address the parliament not in April but in January, a reliable source in the government told Asia-Plus in an interview.
“This year, President Emomali Rahmon will address a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament on January 23,” the source said, noting that the address was brought forward in connection with the fact that this year financial year starts on January 1 and not April 1 as it was before.
Usually, in an address to the parliament, the president discusses the country’s priorities in domestic politics and foreign policy as well as the main economic challenges.
