DUSHANBE, January 23, 2015, Asia-Plus -- In his address to a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament, President Emomali Rahmon today ordered the government to create the children’s ombudsman institution in Tajikistan.
The Children''s Ombudsman is a public authority in various countries charged with the protection and promotion of the rights of children and young people, either in society at large, or in specific categories such as children in contact with the care system.
The parental responsibility law that was adopted several years ago works ineffectively due to lack of mechanisms for implementation of it, Rahmon stressed.
He also ordered to complete the process of providing high schools with enough number of teachers by 2018.
