DUSHANBE, January 30, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The government endorsed the plan of actions on implementation of tasks, set by the president during his address to a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament, at a January 30 meeting, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the plan of actions consists of 74 points providing for creating a children’s ombudsman institution in the country, declaring 2015 the Year of Family in Tajikistan, creating more than 200,000 new jobs in the country this, increasing productive capacities of the national economy, etc.

The government endorsed the composition of the steering committee for celebration of the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence as well as approved and sent amendments to country’s law on reproductive health and reproductive rights to the lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of the parliament (Majlisi Oli), the source said.

We will recall that during his annual address to the joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament, Emomali Rahmon on January 23 ordered the government to create the children’s ombudsman institution in Tajikistan.

The Children''s Ombudsman is a public authority in various countries charged with the protection and promotion of the rights of children and young people, either in society at large, or in specific categories such as children in contact with the care system.
