DUSHANBE, May 6, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Two markets in Dushanbe – Shohmansour (farmers market) and Moshinbozor (vehicle marketplace) – are liable to demolition, an official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office said.
According to him, the markets will be demolished as part of ambitious municipal redevelopment plan that includes the construction of modern buildings.
“At the end of the last week, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev ordered relevant municipal agencies to determine sites for construction of new markets,” the source said, noting that Moshinbozor market will be moved outside the city.
