DUSHANBE, November 16, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon Saturday morning sent a cable of condolences to French President Francois Hollande over the Friday terror attacks in Paris, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
In his message, president Rahmon offered profound sympathy and solidarity with the people of France.
Rahmon, in particular, said in his message that Tajikistan strongly condemns these inhuman acts of a group of criminals who use the holy religion of Islam to cover their acts of terror. These acts require us to join efforts to fight these powers of evil, Tajik leader noted.
We will recall that at least 132 people were killed some 350 were injured in the Friday terrorist attacks in Paris that are the deadliest terrorist attack in Europe since the 2004 Madrid bombings.
French President Francois Hollande called the attacks an “act of war” and promised a “ruthless” response against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group, which claimed responsibility.
