DUSHANBE, December 14, 2015, Asia-Plus – The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament discussed a bill on dehqon (peasant) farms at a December 14 meeting, presided over by lower house speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board also discussed amendments proposed to the country’s laws on the national budget for 2015, the rules and conditions of holding a suspect or a defendant in custody, Tajik ombudsman as well as the country’s penal, administrative and the criminal penalty execution codes.
Besides, the board members discussed the issue related to ratification of an agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and International Limited Liability Company Chzhungtsai Mohir (phonetically spelled) Cement on construction of enterprises for producing cement and plasterboards in the Yovon district, Khatlon province, Sultonov said.
We will recall that the Government of Tajikistan and Chzhungtsai Mohir Cement LTD signed an investment agreement on construction of a 1.2 million ton capacity cement plant in Khatlon’s Yovon district in Dushanbe in early September this year. Besides, an enterprise to produce gypsum plasterboards and an enterprise to produce cement sacks will be built in Yovon. 145 million U.S. dollars are expected to be invested in construction of these enterprises.
