DUSHANBE, May 5, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is attending a ceremony of an official opening of the House of Officers in Dushanbe today.
Visiting Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People''s Liberation Army, Colonel-General Syu Fan Lin, and China’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Yu Bin are also attending the ceremony.
“The House of Officers has been built under financial support of China, which has awarded a more than 100 million yuan (equivalent to US$15 million) grant for implementation of this project,” Faridoun Mahmadalizoda, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense (MoD), told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Construction of a new five-story building of the House of Officers in Dushanbe began in June 2012.
