DUSHANBE, May 18, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has shaken up diplomats.
The Tajik president’s official website reports that Rahmon today signed a number of decrees on introducing staff changes in the country’s diplomatic corps.
Suhrob Olimzoda, who had previously served as head of the Department for International Cooperation at President’s Executive Office, was appointed new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, replacing Olim Rahimov.
Olim Rahimov was relieved of his post of Tajikistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kyrgyzstan for age reasons.
Imom Ashourboyzoda was appointed new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, replacing Muzaffar Huseinov, who was also Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Malaysia with residence in Tashkent.
We will recall that Muzaffar Huseinov was appointed Deputy Foreign Minister in March this year.
Muhammad Munavvarzod was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia.
Yusuf Sharifzod was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea.
Sharif Mahmoudzoda was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
