DUSHANBE, May 27, 2016, Asia-Plus – Speaker of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament has sharply criticized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) for ‘unprofessional preparation of draft laws’. His criticism has come during an address to a session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon
A regular sitting of the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fifth convocation, presided over by its head, Shukrukjon Zuhurov, took place on May 27.
Speaking at the session, Zuhurov noted that a draft law on international agreements of the Republic of Tajikistan had been worked out by Foreign Ministry “unprofessionally.”
“Most likely, this draft law has been unprofessionally translated from another language; in other words, it has just been copied from another country’s law,” parliament speaker noted.
According to him, parliamentarians have been forced to fully edit the law text.
Presenting the bill, Deputy Foreign Minister, Muzaffar Huseinzoda, noted that it was aimed at protecting national interest of Tajikistan on international arena.
The law regulates the procedure of preparing, initialing, signing, implementing and monitoring international agreements which Tajikistan joins.
