DUSHANBE, May 27, 2016, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmon delivered a statement at the first meeting of the National Council for Youth’s Affairs that took place here on May 27.
In his address to the meeting, Emomali Rahmon noted that National Council for Youth’s Affairs had been establish to consider issues related to implementation of the national youth policy, participation of youth in public affairs, and methods of cooperation between the government bodies and youth associations and organizations, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
Rahmon reportedly called on youth not to join terrorist and extremist organizations and pay more attention to the study of sciences and their spiritual and physical development.
He also called on local youth to participate more actively in social and political affairs and development of new innovative projects.
Headed by President Emomali Rahmon, the National Council for Youth’s Affairs was established on July 18, 215. The Council now comprise 43 members.
