DUSHANBE, June 22, 2016, Asia-Plus – Deputies of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament have unanimously voted for amendments proposed by the government to Tajikistan’s town-planning code.
A regular sitting of the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fifth convocation, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov, took place on June 22.
Speaking at the session, the head of the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of Tajikistan, Jamshed Mahmadzoda, noted that there was misunderstanding in issues related to pricing in the construction industry.
“It is unknown today what body determines the rules of price formation in the construction industry. Meanwhile, under the proposed amendments only the government will now determine rules of pricing in the construction industry,” Mahmadzoda said.
Majlisi Namoyandagon Speaker, Shukurjon Zuhurov, noted that the adopted amendments would put an end to upward distortions and undergrounded overpricing in construction industry and real estate market.
